]]> As La Scala in Milan prepares to open its new season on 7 December 2022 with Boris Godunov, the great Italian institution is first paying tribute to one of its legendary directors with an exhibition that opened on 8 November 2022. Franco Zeffirelli, who died in 2019, would have been 100 years old on 12 February 2023. Initially an assistant to Luchino Visconti, he was responsible for some of the greatest productions such as La Bohème, Aida, Otello and Il turco in Italia with Callas, which are presented in the exhibition along with numerous photos and stage costumes.
