Vladimir Jurowski conducts Strauss’ Alpensinfonie

Berlin: On 22 and 24 February 2019, Vladimir Jurowski Artistic Director of the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin since 2017 conducts two concerts at the Konzerthaus in Berlin around Richard Strauss’ Alpensinfonie. In addition to the program, on February 22, perfect pianist Leif Ove Andsnes performs Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21, and on February 24, Akiko Suwanai, the current violinist who performs on the Dolphin (the Stradivarius that once belonged to Jascha Heifetz) performs Brahms’ famous Violin Concerto.

Vladimir Jurowski named Generalmusikdirektor of the Bayerischen Staatsoper in Munich

Because conductor Vladimir Jurowski has been named Generalmusikdirektor of the Bayerischen Staatsoper in Munich, he just announced the end of his collaboration with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin as Principal Conductor by the end of 2020. Till then, on 7 April 2018, Jurowski conducts his orchestra to perform Webern, Berg, and Beethoven at Konzerthaus Berlin, starring violonist Antje Weithaas and pianist Lars Vogt.

Bach’s Christmas Oratorio performed by Vladimir Jurowski

At London’s Royal Festival Hall, on 16 December (on 17 December at Paris’ Théâtre des Champs-Elysées), Bach’s Weihnachtsoratorium (Christmas Oratorio) will be performed by London Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Conductor and Artistic Director Vladimir Jurowski.
