Jakub Hrusa is one of the young leading conductor to follow closely. On January 10–12, 2019, he returns to the New York Philharmonic to conduct a Janácek, Prokofiev and Rimsky-Korsakov programme. Then, with the very Bamberger Symphoniker, he will visit Paris’ Philharmonie (Grande salle Pierre Boulez) to conduct Mahler’s Symphony No. 3.

To succeed Jirí Belohlávek as Chief Conductor and Music Director of the Czech Philharmonic, it’s not Jakub Hrusa as we hoped (he has been named Principal Guest Conductor) but Semyon Bychkov.
