On Monday 17 April 2023, the Halle aux Grains in Toulouse will host a recital by a great lady of the piano. Maria João Pires was only 4 years old when she gave her first concert. Since then, she has lit up the great stages of the world, performing with the greatest. After deciding to end her career in 2018, she continues to give some recitals as in Toulouse, where she chose to perform works by Beethoven, Debussy and Schubert.

Tugan Sokhiev in Toulouse not in New-York

Double news for Tugan Sokhiev obliged to renounce to come to New York to conduct a concert on May 10-12, 2023, because of a schedule conflict (James Gaffigan is replacing him at the head of the New York Philharmonic). On the other hand, the Russian conductor who presided over the destiny of the Orchestre national du Capitole from 2008 to 2022 will return to the pink city at the Halle aux Grains on Saturday, March 18, 2023, this time at the head of the prestigious Wiener Philharmoniker in a Rimsky-Korsakov and Tchaikovsky program. In addition, the Orchestre national du Capitole has announced the name of his replacement. The 22 year old Finnish conductor, Tarmo Peltokoski becomes the new Music Director of one of the best French orchestras.

A very interesting concert is announced at Toulouse’s la Halle aux Grains on Friday 15 June 2018. Acclaimed conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin (who is the new Artistic Director of the prestigious Metropolitan Opera is New York) conducts the Chamber Orchestra of Europe to perform Brahms’ Symphony No. 3 and Violon Concerto starring great violonist Lisa Batiashvili.
