										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Are the <strong>Théâtre des Champs-Elysées</strong> and the <strong>Philharmonie</strong>, the French capital&#8217;s two great symphony concert halls, fighting it out in 2023? The line-up on both sides is very strong, with, Porte de Pantin, the Berliner Philharmoniker led by <strong>Kirill Petrenko</strong> (2 September), the Orchestre de Paris conducted by <strong>Klaus Mäkelä</strong> (6 and 7 September) and the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by <strong>Andris Nelsons</strong> (8 September) despite on Avenue Montaigne, three serious contenders such as the Wiener Philharmoniker led by <strong>Jakub Hrůša</strong> (14th), <strong>Riccardo Chailly</strong> at the helm of the Orchestra e Coro del Teatro alla Scala (12th) and finally the Bayerisches Staatsorchester conducted by <strong>Vladimir Jurowski</strong> (21st) round off the calendar for an exceptional new season. François-Xavier Roth, Lahav Shani, Simon Rattle, Antonio Pappano, Thomas Hengelbrock, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, etc. are also expected in the coming month!</p>

During the month of March 2023, it is offering two unusual and exceptional events. On <strong>Monday 6 March 2023</strong>, <strong>Nadine Sierra</strong> and <strong>Pretty Yende</strong> will share the stage at the <strong>Philharmonie de Paris</strong> in a programme simply entitled &#8220;Best Friends&#8221;. On <strong>Tuesday 21 March 2023</strong>, the <strong>Théâtre des Champs-Élysées</strong> will welcome women of power with <strong>Marina Rebeka</strong> and <strong>Karine Deshayes</strong> performing excerpts from Donizetti&#8217;s Maria Stuarda and Anna Bolena, Rossini&#8217;s Elisabetta and Semiramide and finally excerpts from Bellini&#8217;s Norma.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Since the beginning of the season, the <strong>Palazzetto Bru Zane</strong>, a great rediscoverer of scores (which is releasing a boxed set of 8CDs in March 2023 and a book on Augusta Holmès), has been devoting a series of concerts to 19th century French women composers: Louise Farrenc, Rita Strohl, Clémence de Grandval, Nadia and Lili Boulanger, Cécile Chaminade, Charlotte Sohy, Augusta Holmès, Mel Bonis, Sophie Gail, Marie Jaëll, Henriette Renié,&#8230;. After a festival to be held in Venice from <strong>1 April to 17 June 2023</strong>, the highlights are expected in Paris where, as part of the Palazzetto Bru Zane&#8217;s Parisian festival, <strong>three concerts</strong> will be held, including Louise Bertin&#8217;s opera <strong>Fausto</strong> on <strong>20 June</strong> and a <strong>symphonic concert</strong> on <strong>23 June</strong> at the <strong>Théâtre des Champs-Elysées</strong>.</p>

<p>A great theatre and opera director, actor, author,<strong> director of the Théâtre national de l&#8217;Odéon from 2007 to 2012</strong> and of <strong>the Festival d&#8217;Avignon from 2013 to 2022</strong>, Olivier Py is well known and often appreciated by music lovers who always recognise the intelligence of his approach to libretti. His name will undoubtedly revive the lustre of<strong> the Théâtre du Châtelet</strong>, but coincidence of the calendar, his next creation will take place at the<strong> Théâtre des Champs-Elysées</strong>, which will host his production of <strong>Stravinsky&#8217;s The Nightingale and Poulenc&#8217;s Les Mamelles de Tiresias from 10 to 19 March 2023.</strong></p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Daniele Rustioni</strong>, musical director of the Opéra de Lyon, continues <strong>his cycle of Massenet operas in concert version</strong>.</p>
<p>After Werther and Manon, it is now <strong>Hérodiade</strong> which is on the bill at the <strong>Auditorium-Orchestre national de Lyon</strong> on <strong>23 November 2022</strong> and then in Paris at the<strong> Théâtre des Champs Elysées on 25 November</strong> with an exceptional cast as Nicole Car&#8217;s Salomé takes on <strong>Etienne Dupuis</strong> as Herod and <strong>Ekaterina Semenchuk</strong> as Hérodiade in order to save the head of Jean Baptiste performed by<strong> Jean-François Borras</strong>.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The <strong>Théâtre des Champs-Elysées</strong>, which is opening a great season with <strong>Gluck&#8217;s Orfeo ed Euridice</strong>, is launching the residency of the ensemble <strong>Les Siècles</strong> and its prestigious conductor, <strong>François-Xavier Roth</strong>. The orchestra, which performs on historical instruments, will be performing <strong>three symphonic concerts</strong>, one staged opera, one opera in concert version and two concerts for young audiences and families throughout the season.</p>
<p>The first concert is scheduled for <strong>Friday 30 September 2022</strong> (an 100% <strong>Stravinsky</strong> programme) and annonces highlights such as the<strong> anniversary concert on 10 January 2023</strong> or the new production of double-bill <strong>Stravinsky&#8217;s Nightingale and Poulenc&#8217;s Mamelles de Tirésias</strong> in <strong>Olivier Py</strong>&#8216;s eagerly awaited staging with the divine <strong>Sabine Devieilhe</strong>.</p>
