Wagner stays at home in his birth town. While Oper Leipzig (his hometown) just annonced its 20-21 season, it is already organizing a major festival dedicated to the famous composer, in 2022. From June 20 to July 14, 2022, all of 13 Wagner’s operas will be performed.
This season already, the institution gives an overview all season long with no less than 10 productions on stage (Lohengrin, Der fliegende Holländer, Tristan und Isolde, Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried, Götterdämmerung (for two complete Ring) and the rarest Die Feen, Rienzi and Das Liebesverbot.
