]]> 2023 was a busy year for commemorations, but apart from the Callas and Ligeti centenaries, not all the artists and composers received the same media coverage. Such is the case of Edouard Lalo, born on 27 January 1823, who received little coverage on his 200th birthday. The Palazzetto Bru Zane makes up for this injustice by offering a concert version of his most famous opera on 11 January 2024 in Budapest and 3 February at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Under the perfect musical direction of Gyorgy Vashegyi, Le Roi d’Ys will be performed by Cyrille Dubois in the role of Mylio. Jennifer Holloway in Budapest and Isabelle Druet in Amsterdam, of whom we are delighted to see again at the top of the bill, share the role of Margared.
