]]> The Maurice André International Trumpet Competition awarded its first prize on 25 November 2022 to Sebastian Berner, a young German artist aged 28, ahead of Lennard Czakaj (2nd prize) and Raphaël Horrach and Pierre Evano (4th prize ex-aequo).

Created in 1979, the competition, which highlights a noble instrument, was only held six times (the last time was in 2006) before Ibrahim Maalouf had the good idea to relaunch it.
