]]> The Oper Leipzig has just announced the name of its new musical director. From the 2025-26 season, conductor Ivan Repušić will be the new Generalmusikdirektor at the helm of the Gewandhausorchester, as the opera house can boast of regularly having one of Europe’s greatest orchestras in its pit. Currently Principal Conductor of the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester and the Zadar Chamber Orchestra Berlin, Repušić is also the permanent guest conductor of the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
