]]> Having been acclaimed by the press, from 2 to 14 May 2024 La Monnaie in Brussels returns to the sensational staging of Britten‘s The Turn of the Screw by Andrea Breth, regarded as one of the greatest ambassadors of German theatre. The intrigues at House Bly with strange ghosts and a few apparitions will torment in the role of the Governess, Sally Matthews, the superb soprano who confirms her affinity with the world of her compatriots, Britten as composer and the writer Henry James who first wrote the novel. Ed Lyon and Julian Hubbard complete the cast led by conductor Antonio Méndez.
