]]> On November 16, 2024, the Chapelle Royale of Versailles will host the dynamic ensemble Il Caravaggio and its conductor Camille Delaforge, as they explore the origins of Mozart. The work on the program, Die Schuldigkeit des ersten Gebots (The Obligation of the First Commandment), is in fact Mozart’s first sacred opera. Rarely performed, this early operatic attempt by the divine genius at the age of 11 already showcases a mastery of orchestral writing and vocal composition. It has been recorded and will be released on November 15, 2024, under the CVS Label.
