]]> On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées will honor Pierre Boulez with a concert in Paris on January 7, 2025, featuring the orchestra Les Siècles. This performance follows a concert in Tourcoing, the northern city where the orchestra is in residence at the Atelier Lyrique. In Tourcoing, they will perform the iconic Pli selon Pli and two classics by Debussy (Trois poèmes de Stéphane Mallarmé, in an orchestral arrangement by Heinz Holliger, and La Mer) on January 5, the anniversary of Boulez’s passing in 2016. On stage, French-Cypriot soprano Sarah Aristidou will be accompanied by Franck Ollu, a specialist in French music and contemporary repertoire, conducting the orchestra. The two artists step in to replace François-Xavier Roth and Sabine Devieilhe, who were initially announced.
