]]> A highlight of the 2020 season, audiences at the Opéra Comique will finally be able to attend the French premiere of Pascal Dusapin‘s new opera. Performed at the Salle Favart in Paris from 6 to 12 November 2023, the production of Macbeth Underworld has been premiered at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels in 2019, darkly directed by Thomas Jolly as the subject suggests. The director returns to Shakespeare after a formidable Romeo and Juliet at the Opéra Bastille (and before Offenbach’s Fantasio at the Opéra Comique, already almost sold out). In the title role, Jarrett Ott replaces Jean-Sébastien Bou, initially announced.
