While this season, Avignon, Nice and Bordeaux are discovering the charms of Rusalka, Dvořák‘s masterpiece inspired by Andersen‘s fairy tale The Little Mermaid, Opéra royal de Liège is taking its turn to perform this superb, rarely-performed score. From 25 January to 4 February 2024, a new production by Rodula Galtanou will mark the entry into the repertoire of Rusalka, which has never before been performed in Liège. Giampaolo Bisanti, Music Director of the Royal Opera, conducts the work with Corinne Winters, Anton Rositskiy, Jana Kurucova and Evgeny Stavinsky in the leading roles.
