A must-see trip to the Chorégies d’Orange

Orange, the charming city of Vaucluse is indeed this City of Princes who receives the greatest artists at the time of Chorégies. The Festival, which can boast of being the oldest in France (and certainly in the world), always creates the event in the Summer Festivals landscape!

One day attending a performance at the Chorégies d’Orange is an essential event in the life of the music lover. The perfect acoustics, the concentration of the audience, the quality of the productions, everything contributes to making the moment unforgettable.

This 2020 season, the lyrical event is the masterpiece of Saint-Saëns directed by Jean-Louis Grinda who offers superb roles to the magnificent Marie-Nicole Lemieux and Ludovic Tézier, the greatest baritone of today. But it is Roberto Alagna’s return that is most awaited in the Ancient Theater where he sang his greatest successes. The symphony concert of this 2020 season is conducted by the beloved conductor, Myung-Whun Chung. The Maestro chose Beethoven’s fifth symphony to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of the immense German composer. In the first part the virtuoso violinist Maxim Vengerov performs the brilliant Brahms concerto. A great moment of music!

The Chorégies d’Orange, an unmissable event of major international opera events.
