December 7th is the traditional date of the grand season opening at La Scala in Milan, the temple of the Opera. The pandemic still present don’t allow the performances to take place, yet a great concert will be performed this evening, broadcast on Rai 1, Radio 3 and Raiplay.

Under the direction of the master conductor Riccardo Chailly and directed by Davide Livermore, some of the greatest artists will be present, including Ildar Abdrazakov, Roberto Alagna, Carlos Álvarez, Piotr Beczala, Benjamin Bernheim, the star dancer Roberto Bolle and Eleonora Buratto, Marianne Crebassa, Plácido Domingo, Rosa Feola, Juan Diego Flórez, Elina Garanca, Vittorio Grigolo, Aleksandra Kurzak, the choreographer Manuel Legris, Francesco Meli, Camilla Nylund, Kristine Opolais, Lisette Oropesa, Geroge Petean, Marina Rebeka, Luca Salsi, Andreas Schager, Ludovic Tézier and Sonya Yoncheva.

All except Jonas Kaufmann who is unfortunately indisposed.
