She was the sensation of the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games! Perched atop the Grand Palais in her sublime blue-white-and-red dress, Axelle Saint-Cirel stunned the world with a vibrant rendition of La Marseillaise. The winner of the 2023 edition of the Voix des Outre-Mer competition is returning to her roots. She will be present on Thursday 5 September 2024, at the Ile-de-France final for overseas candidates based in mainland France (at the headquarters of the Ile-de-France Region in Saint-Ouen). Under the impetus of the Les Contres-courants association (founded by Fabrice di Falco and Julien Leleu), the competition, which is open to all French overseas residents, aims to detect, train, promote and professionalise talent from overseas France, while providing them with educational and professional integration support. The final of the 7th edition will be held on 8 January 2025 at the Opéra Bastille.
