The Orchestre national de Lyon will not be returning to the stage in September, as is the case for most major orchestras, but in October. The reason is simple: for the whole of September, the auditorium’s Grande Salle will be closed for acoustic work. A grand re-opening has therefore been announced, with three prestigious concerts featuring Gilberto Gil, Jordi Savall and Nikolaï Luganski with conductor Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider leading the Orchestre national de Lyon in an ambitious programme of works by Guiraud, Rachmaninov and Bruckner on October 12th, 2023.
