The prestigious Baden-Baden Easter Festival is forced to change its line-up with the announcement of a reorganisation. It has been agreed with the interested party that Anna Netrebko will not perform with the Berliner Philharmoniker on 13 April 2022. Kirill Peternko is considering a new programme. Perhaps most sadly, while she was the other star of the season, Asmik Grigorian will not be performing after all. She was due to perform the role of Liza in Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades under the direction of Kirill Petrenko between 9 and 18 April, but the Lithuanian soprano has to cancel her participation for health reasons.
