The director Ted Huffman is flying from success to success. After his acclaimed Monteverdi in Aix-en-Provence last summer, his new production is eagerly awaited at the Oper Zürich, especially as it is a Shakespearean drama. From 10 April to 18 May 2023, Charles Gounod‘s masterpiece Romeo and Juliet will be conducted by Roberto Forés Veses with a new line-up. Benjamin Bernheim and Julie Fuchs have never before performed the lovers of Verona together. The tenor will reprise the role at the Opéra Bastille but with a new Juliet, Elsa Dreisig.
