Berlioz & Gardiner, for ever!

Few conductors like him have left an indelible mark, John Eliot Gardiner returns to Berlioz by conducting Les Troyens, the fresco opera by the great French composer. The Monteverdi Choir and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique are of course involved, as is tenor Michael Spyres who takes on the role of Aeneas. The event will take place during the Berlioz Festival in La Côte-Saint-André before being repeated in Salzburg as part of the prestigious Salzburger Festspiele and then in Berlin during the Musikfest Berlin.
