Busoni on a grand scale in Berlin

2024 is a year of celebration with the 100th anniversary of Puccini’s death, but the great Italian composer cannot make us forget his compatriot Ferruccio Busoni, who died the same year. Although he spent most of his career in Austria and Germany, it is only natural that the Berlin Philharmonie should be the venue for one of his major works, his piano concerto! The particularly monumental score will be performed by virtuoso Benjamin Grosvenor with the Rundfunkchor Berlin and the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin at the concert on 24 February 2024, conducted by the orchestra’s charismatic principal conductor, Robin Ticciati.
