Julien Alex, President of the Echternach Festival announced the end of the famous Festival of Luxembourg because of personal et financel problems. The Festival closes its doors after 43 years of existence.

The Wiener Symphoniker just announced the appointement of conductor Andrés Orozco-Estrada as Music Director. He will succeed Philippe Jordan from 2021-2022 season. Last month, the ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien has named his new Chief Conductor with Marin Alsop, the first woman ever in this position.
Great conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla will probably be a new mother on 15 September. She won’t be able to conduct the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in Lucerne then. Fortunatly, talented conductor Omer Meir Wellber replaces and makes his debut at the Lucerne Festival.
