To mark Simon Rattle’s inaugural season as new Music Director of the London Symphony Orchestra, the Barbican offers a ten day celebration named « This is Rattle » with concerts and events from 14 September.

In Geneva, the firts event of the new season is the Figaro/Beaumarchais trilogy with from 12 to 26 September at the Opéra des Nations, the performance of Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Rossini), Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart) and Figaro Gets a Divorce (Elena Langer).

A new success of Bel Canto is performed at Montpellier’s Opéra Comédie from 26 September, Rossini’s L’italiana in Algeri is conducted by Michael Schønwandt and directed by David Hermann.
