On 5 March at Paris Philharmonie, a great concert is announced starring Les Siècles Orchestra and intense conductor François-Xavier Roth who conducts two masterpieces, César Franck’s Symphony and Gustav Mahler’s No. 1 “Titan”.

Major event of the French season, at the Opéra de Lyon in March, during a great Verdi Festival three operas are performed : Attila, Macbeth and Don Carlos, extended five acts version in French.

Major event at Stavovské divadlo, the Prague State Theatre, Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro always presented since January 1787 is about to be performed in a new production by Magdalena Svecová, who will be the first woman in the history of the Národní divadlo to direct a production of Le nozze di Figaro!

After Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s choreography, another splendid Boléro is performed at Paris’ Opéra Bastille from 24 February, by great master of choreography Maurice Béjart who shares this Ravel evening with Daphnis et Chloé and choreography by Benjamin Millepied. Young and talented conducter Maxime Pascal conducts.

On 25, 28 February and 3 March at Munich’s Bayerische Staatsoper, Ludovic Tézier performs as Alphonse XI in Donizetti’s La Favorite with a beautiful cast : Clémentine Margaine and Matthew Polenzani.

From 24 February to 17 March, Juan Diego Flórez is the king of la Scala de Milano where he performed as Orphée in the French version of Gluck’s Orphée et Eurydice.

At Munich’s Bayerische Staatsoper, Anja Harteros is unfaithful to Jonas Kaufmann she might prefer French tenor Jean-François Borras to lead the dance in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera, on 24 February, 1 & 4 March.
