]]> New discovery: The Italian composer Giovanni Legrenzi is the about to be discovered in France thanks to Christophe Rousset and his Talens Lyriques. Less known than Monteverdi or Cavalli, he was probably, Caldara and Vivaldi’s teacher. His opera The divisione del mondo created for the carnival of Venice in 1675 is staged by the Dutch artist Jetske Mijnssen. The French premiere will take place at the Strasbourg Opera on February 8th and then, the production will be performed in Mulhouse, Colmar, Nancy and at the Opéra Royal de Versailles, on April 13th and 14th, 2019.
