Great conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla will probably be a new mother on 15 September. She won’t be able to conduct the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in Lucerne then. Fortunatly, talented conductor Omer Meir Wellber replaces and makes his debut at the Lucerne Festival.
Mezzo Marianne Crebassa is unwell and had to cancel the Handel concert on 7 April at the Paris’ Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. She was supposed to perform Handel’s Italian Cantatas with soprano Sabine Devieilhe and Emmanuelle Haïm, conducting Le Concert d’Astrée. Fortunatly, young and talented mezzo Lea Desandre replaces.
