While Matthias Schulz, the new director of the Oper Zürich, one of Europe’s most prestigious Opera House, will only be in charge from the 2025/26 season onwards, he has just taken his first decision by requesting the extension of the contract of conductor Gianandrea Noseda, who will remain until at least the 2027/28 season. Noseda has been General Music Director of the Opernhaus Zürich since the beginning of the 2021/22 season.
