After celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Ensemble Matheus, the 20th anniversary of the Concert d’Astrée and Marielle Nordmann’s 81st birthday, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées now welcomes the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées to celebrate its 30th anniversary. For the occasion, the orchestra will perform Gustav Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde (The Song of the Earth) for the first time on period instruments. Philippe Herreweghe (creator of the Orchestre des Champs-Elysées with Alain Durel) conducts the Mahler masterpiece with two prestigious soloists, Magdalena Kožená and Andrew Staples.
