The Dresdner Musikfestspiele, which will be held from 11 May to 10 June 2022, has the theme of enchantment this season. Jan Vogler, the artistic director since 2008, has programmed numerous events that are sure to enchant music lovers and festival-goers in the beautiful city of Dresden. However, the performances of Mozart’s masterpiece Die Zauberflöte cannot take place. Due to production delays, the opera has been postponed to 2023 and two concerts have now been announced for the same dates (11 and 12 May), one conducted by Jean-Christophe Spinosi with pianist Jan Lisiecki and the other with Jan Vogler himself.
