As the Voix des Outre-mer competition enters its fifth year, its President, the solar countertenor Fabrice di Falco, has just been promoted to the rank of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by Mrs Roselyne Bachelot, French Minister of Culture. This honour highlights the remarkable work accomplished by the artist both as a soloist and as a promoter of the development of lyrical art in the French overseas territories. But it is undoubtedly his unfailing commitment to lyrical talent discovered outside France that is most remarkable. In this regard, registrations for the 5th Voix des Outre-mer competition are open until 31 May 2022.
