The famous Savonlinna Opera Festival, which will take place from 2 to 31 July 2021, has just received substantial support from the Finnish government.

Opera goers can already book their tickets for one of the performances of Bizet’s Carmen, Verdi’s La Traviata, Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Massenet’s Werther, Händel’s Giulio Cersare and Szymanowski’s King Roger, which will be held this summer in the beautiful courtyard of the medieval castle of Olavinlinna.
