The American pianist Kimball Gallagher will give a recital in Salle Gaveau on 12 June 2023, opening up new perceptions with a programme of classical music from Africa and Europe. Indeed, alongside works by Mozart and Chopin, original contemporary creations will be heard such as the compositions of Souhayl Guesmi, mixing piano, saxophone, nay (Tunisian flute) and songs in Tunisian dialect. Inspired by his world tours and numerous encounters, Kimball Gallagher created the NGO 88 International, which offers a large-scale music education and life skills programme in Myanmar, Tunisia, Taiwan, Senegal, St. Maarten and Chile. 88 International is founded on the belief that music cultivates respect for differences and is a window to the world.
