Currently conducted by Jaap van Zweden, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra is 50 years old. To celebrate the event, their conductor is taking the artists on a European tour from 24 February to 8 March 2024. Dresden (Kulturpalast) on 24 February, Zurich (Tonhalle) on 26 February, Toulouse (Halle aux Grains) on 28 February, Aix-en-Provence (Grand Théâtre) on 29 February, Rotterdam, Basel, Rome (Sala Santa Cecilia) on 5 March and Brussels (Bozar) on 8 March will also welcome pianist Alexandre Kantorow, a well-known winner of the Tchaikovsky Competition and already a major international keyboard star.
