The Théâtre des Champs-Elysées reprises Robert Carsen’s magnificent production of Gluck’s opera to offer the superb Jakub Józef Orliński the iconic and much-anticipated role of Orfeo. With his golden voice and magazine cover physique, the most feline of countertenors will lament in Italian the death of ‘his Eurydice’ and will take his first stage steps in an opera in Paris.
