Jan Vogler launches the first Hojotoho!

On Saturday 9 April 2024 in Prague, the exceptional concert performance of Wagner’s Die Walküre will have the flavour of the inauguration of the Dresdner Musikfestspiele. Indeed, since last season, the celebrated cellist Jan Vogler, artistic director of the prestigious German festival, has teamed up with conductor Kent Nagano for a major Wagnerian project. To restore the original colours of the masterpiece Das Ring der Nibelungen, the Dresdner Festspielorchester and Concerto Köln are joining forces for a tour that begins in Prague and continues at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam (16 March), Cologne (24 March), Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie (1 May) before the performance in Dresden on 9 May 2024 at the Kulturpalast, and the final performance as part of the Lucerne Festival (21 August) before Siegfried in 2025.
