Prince Orlofsky receives a distinguished guest! At the Wiener Staatsoper, the performance of Johann Strauss’s Die Fledermaus on December 31 usually reserves a nice surprise. It is a tradition during Act II that Prince Orlofsky received a surprise guest.

Tonight, the lucky audience will have the joy to applaud superstar tenor Jonas Kaufmann himself. Nice gift from Dominique Meyer who ends his mandate as director of the great Viennese institution with this firework!
