On Monday 20th October 2020, the audience who were expecting to attend a performance of Verdi’s Aida at La Scala were unpleasantly surprised to learn that two members of the cast have been tested positive at Covid.

The good surprise is that the performance has been replaced by a concert with… Jonas Kaufmann. The tenor super star continues to perform despite the uncertainties and cancellations.

The Teatro alla Scala has still not announced its new season 2020-2021.
