La vie de Bohème is not for Lorenzo Viotti

The end of season event at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris will indeed take place but without the lively conductor Lorenzo Viotti. Indeed, he has just withdrawn from the production of Puccini’s La Bohème directed by Eric Ruf which will take place from 15 to 24 June 2023. Lorenzo Passerini replaces as musical director with a strong vocal line-up on stage. The superb Samoan tenor Pene Pati, who appeared in Romeo and Juliet at the Opéra-Comique, directed by Eric Ruf, performs as Rodolfo. His partner is the young Italian soprano Selene Zanetti in the role of Mimi.
