Each year, many of you look forward to the release of the new Music & Opera Guide around the World. As you know, the unprecedented crisis that we are still going through has considerably changed cultural life by imposing silence in the halls where classical music usually resonates. Even if Operas and Concert institutions are unveiling their new 2020-2021 season, a real earthquake has disturbed the programming. By domino effect, our organization suffers from the consequences, forcing us to reconsider the release of our book. Another more insidious consequence force us to be cautious. Indeed, the economic balance of the guide result from the sale of advertising which we sorely lack.

This is for all these reasons and with a heavy heart that we decided not to publish the Guide Music & Opera around the World 2020-2021. However, to allow you to have the most complete overview possible of this unusual season, we are currently studying an alternative solution with the publication (in September or October) of a reduced version containing only a calendar. We will keep you informed if this project sees the light of day (in the meantime, part of the seasons can already be viewed on the website www.music-opera.com). Many of you have given us your support and we thank you warmly.

Music can’t stop and despite the vicissitudes, we will do everything in our power to offer you a Guide 2021-2022 more brilliant than ever because we will celebrate its 25th edition then.

For our readers who have already purchased the canceled 20-21 edition, we offer a full refund or the transfer of the order to the 2021-2022 edition.

For Club M&O Members who should have received the Guide this year, we offer in compensation an extension of their membership in order to offer them the next edition 2021-2022.
