With Massenet’s Thaïs from 10 February to 2 March 2022, directed by Olivier Py, La Scala in Milan had one of the most beautiful cast of the season. Alas, three times alas! the immense baritone Ludovic Tézier must give up performing as Athanaël, a victim of the Covid like an impressive number of artists in this moment! Lucas Meachem will partner the perfect Marina Rebeka in the title role. The many fans of the French baritone can rest assured that Thaïs with Ludovic Tézier and Ermonela Jaho this time is still scheduled to be performed at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in concert version on 9 April 2022.
