While it remains closed at least until the end of December due to the current health crisis, the Metropolitan Opera House launched on 18 July the “MET Stars Live in Concert” project, a series of 12 paid online and live recitals featuring the greatest opera stars of the moment.
Throughout the summer and until the end of the year, the biggest opera stars (Roberto Alagna, Joyce Didonato, Jonas Kaufmann, Anna Netrebko…) will perform in a series of online recitals and broadcast live from all over the world. Solo or duo performances will be featured from extraordinary locations such as the former Bavarian Abbey, a Norwegian castle, an outdoor terrace on a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean Sea or a church in Wales.
Tickets for each recital are $20 and performances will remain available on request for 12 days on the MET site.
