Finally some (not very good) news from the Opéra national de Paris! Since the end of the lockdown, opera lovers were waiting for the announcement of the reopening of Palais Garnier and Opéra Batsille. In May, Stéphane Lissner made an announcement which is now confirmed. The Opéra national de Paris will anticipate some refurbishment of stage equipments.
Consequently, the performances will not run until the end of 2020 at the Palais Garnier and in mid-November 2020 at the Opéra Bastille.
Adieu to Richard Wagner’s Ring, or maybe goodbye because the future director is thinking of a possible revival of the production.
