With the Rossini Opera Festival 2023 barely over, the titles of the 2024 season have just been announced. On the programme for this 45th edition, five operas by the great Rossini will be performed from 7 to 23 August 2024. Bianca e Falliero, in a new production by Jean-Louis Grinda, will open the festival, followed by another new production of Ermione (directed by Johannes Erath). Two revivals have also been announced: L’equivoco stravagante (Moshe Leiser and Patrice Caurier) and Il barbiere di Siviglia (Pier Luigi Pizzi).
