Pesaro Si, Pesaro là!

Bookings are due by 15 December 2023 for the 45th edition of the celebrated Rossini Opera Festival, to be held from 7 to 23 August 2024 in the charming port city of Pesaro, Capital of Italian Culture 2024. On this occasion, not three but four productions are on the bill, including Bianca e Falliero (directed by Jean-Louis Grinda), L’equivoco stravagante (by the hilarious Moshe Leiser and Patrice Caurier), Ermione (by Johannes Erath) and finally, the interplanetary masterpiece Il barbiere di Siviglia (directed by Pier Luigi Pizzi). As always, the line-up features a host of headliners, including Juan Diego Flórez. The tenor is the Festival’s current artistic director, and will be appearing on stage as Orestes in Ermione by the one and only Rossini! But the highlight of the event will undoubtedly be the concert version of Il Viaggio a Reims, featuring no fewer than 16 great artists including Vasilisa Berzhanskaya, Karine Deshayes, Dmitry Korchak, Erwin Schrott, Nicola Alaimo and Vito Priante.
