Symphony and opera at the Philharmonie de Paris

The Orchestre de Paris does not give up and offers its live concerts on Philharmonie Live. Recorded without an audience, performances will then be available free of charge until 18 May 2021.

A symphonic programme on Wednesday 18 November 2020 at 8.30 pm, the famous Australian conductor Simone Young (replacing Klaus Mäkelä who is unable to attend) conducts Strauss’s Vier Letzte Lieder (The Last Four Lieder) and Brahms’ Symphony No. 4 with soprano Elza van den Heever.

Opera on Friday 27 November at 8:30 pm, Pascal Dusapin’s love tragedy Penthesilea in concert version is conducted by Ariane Matiakh with the Accentus Chamber Choir and a five-star cast featuring Georg Nigl, Christel Loetzsch, Marisol Montalvo, Paul Gay and Noa Frenkel.
