]]> Born in Russia, the talented pianist Daniil Trifonov has spent more than half of his life in the United States, where he moved to study at the age of 18. On the occasion of the release of his new CD My American Story: North, the pianist explores a wide repertoire, ranging from jazz to swing, minimalism, and film music.

Gershwin‘s and Mason Bates‘ concertos (the latter specially composed for him) are the main works recorded on this album. Meanwhile, in concert, his season is more Europe-focused, featuring mostly concertos by Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms, and Dvořák.

]]> Rusalka will be on the bill at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège from 25 January to 4 February 2024 in a new production by Rodula Gaitanou that rectifies an oversight. For the very first time in its history, the ORW is programming Dvořák‘s superb and spellbinding masterpiece. The score will be conducted by the institution’s current music director Giampaolo Bisanti, with Corinne Winters and Anton Rositskiy in the lead roles.

From 25 January to 4 February 2024, a new production by Rodula Gaitanou will mark the entry into the repertoire of Rusalka, which has never before been performed in Liège. Giampaolo Bisanti, Music Director of the Royal Opera, conducts the work with Corinne Winters, Anton Rositskiy, Jana Kurucova and Evgeny Stavinsky in the leading roles.
