										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Currently on tour, <a href="https://actualites.music-opera.com/tag/cecilia-bartoli-en"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Cecilia Bartoli</span></strong></a> cannot stop mourning her lost love as she embodies<strong> Orpheus in Gluck&#8217;s <em>Orfeo ed Euridice</em></strong>. She will perform the role on two last upcoming dates: at <strong>the Philharmonie de Paris on Thursday, November 28, 2024, and at the Tonhalle in Zurich on November 30</strong>. This season, the great mezzo-soprano, is making fewer stage appearances as she dedicates herself to her roles <strong>as Artistic Director of the Salzburg Easter Festival and the Opéra de Monte-Carlo</strong>, where she will appear as <strong>Sesto in Mozart’s <em>La Clemenza di Tito</em> in January 2025</strong>. However, la Bartoli hasn’t forgotten her charitable commitments. She will give a special performance at <strong>a benefit concert for the International Opera Studio in Zurich on June 15, 2025.</strong></p>

The <strong>Christiane Eda Pierre</strong> prize will be awarded to the candidate from a friendly French overseas country. All you have to do to enter is live in a French-speaking country or speak French. The winner will sing in the final at the<strong> Opéra Bastille</strong> in front of the<strong> Voix des Outre-mer</strong> jury. He or she will take part in the <strong>Filao Festival</strong>. The next one is to be held in <strong>Saint-Pierre de la Martinique</strong> from<strong> 3 to 15 December 2024</strong>.<br />

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class="ewa-rteLine">The<strong> Cannes Dance Festival</strong> is offering the first edition of <strong>MOV&#8217;IN Cannes</strong>, its dance film competition. For its twenty-fourth edition, the event is breaking new ground while forging a natural link with cinema, an art form that is in the DNA of the city of Cannes. Seven professional judges from the two artistic fields, including<strong> Edilia Gäns</strong>, director of FEDORA, <strong>Tanin Torabi</strong>, Iranian choreographer and director, <strong>Jarmi Penttila</strong>, former Chaillot programming advisor, and <strong>Mathilda May</strong>, author, director and actress, president of the jury, will award a <strong>MOV&#8217;IN Cannes</strong> Grand Prize, a <strong>Ministry of Culture</strong> Prize, a <strong>Student Prize</strong> and the <strong>Audience Prize</strong> to the winners at a ceremony to be held on<strong> Thursday 30 November</strong> at the<strong> Cineum in Cannes-La Bocca</strong>. Of the 110 films received, 18 are in competition, half of which have been selected by partner institutions and festivals, and the other half by a panel of students from the PACA region.</div>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The titles of the operas to be performed at the <strong>48th edition of the Festival della Valle d&#8217;Itria</strong> have been revealed. As usual, the famous opera festival in <strong>Martina Franca</strong>, in the beautiful Italian region of<strong> Puglia</strong>, is offering little or no known works. From<strong> 19 July to 6 August 2022</strong>, the new artistic director <strong>Sebastian F. Schwarz</strong> is offering four titles ranging from the 17th century to the present day: <strong>Cavalli&#8217;s Il Xerse</strong> (premiered in 1655), <strong>Bellini&#8217;s Beatrice di Tenda</strong> (1833) in a concert version conducted by Fabio Luisi, <strong>Arrigo Pedrollo&#8217;s Delitto e castigo</strong> (1926) based on Dostoyevsky&#8217;s Crime and Punishment, and finally the world premiere of <strong>Nicola Campogrande&#8217;s Opera italiana</strong> (composed in 2010). The courtyard of the Palazzo Ducale in Martina Franca will host the performances and also the recently renovated <strong>Teatro Verdi</strong>.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Two <strong>staged operas, a ballet, a film-concert, a recital, two beautiful concerts</strong> and <strong>Beethoven&#8217;s Missa solemnis,</strong> the <strong>2022 season of the Chorégies d&#8217;Orange</strong> has been unveiled with many highlights. Cancelled last season, the <strong>Verdi concert</strong> with <strong>La Scala de Milano</strong> will take conducted by the expert <strong>Riccardo Chailly</strong>. The opera is back in force with two masterpieces of the Italian repertoire. In <a href="https://www.music-opera.com/fr/oeuvre/donizetti-l-elisir-d-amore.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Donizetti&#8217;s L&#8217;elisir d&#8217;amore</strong></span></a>, festival-goers can applaud <strong>Pretty Yende, René Barbera and Erwin Schrott</strong>. They will also be able to discover <strong>Ponchielli&#8217;s La Gioconda</strong>, another rarely performed masterpiece. <strong>The ticket office opens tomorrow!</strong></p>
