Teatro dell’Opera di Roma at the Circo Massimo : The Opera is back in Rome

The Opera is back in Rome. The summer season of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma at the Baths of Caracalla has been canceled but fortunatly, the great Italian Opera House has found another place as exceptional. The Circo Massimo has been fitted out with all the safety measures to welcome summer opera goers, from July 16, 2020.

Tonight will be premiered Verdi’s Rigoletto directed by Damiano Michieletto and conducted by Daniele Gatti. Further productions such as Barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini, Lehár’s lustige Witwe (Merry Widow), a ballet on Vivaldi’s Quattro Stagioni and a song recital of the superb Anna Netrebko and her husband ( August 6 & 9, 2020) to follow…
