The Arena of Verona, all round!

The announced event will take place this summer with the Verona Arena Festival celebrating its 100th anniversary, from 16 June to 9 September 2023, with large-scale productions and ad hoc casts. All the stars of the international opera scene are invited to celebrate the occasion. Among them are the star dancer Roberto Bolle, Jonas Kaufmann (after his legendary recital in Verona), Placido Domingo, Riccardo Chailly and the Orchestra of La Scala in Milan, who are invited for special evenings, as well as Juan Diego Flórez, who makes his debut in the Arena with a recital and also a stage appearance in Rigoletto. Other major titles such as Aida, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Carmen, Madama Butterfly, Nabucco, Tosca and La Traviata will be performed by Anna Netrebko, Lisette Oropesa, Nadine Sierra and Sonya Yoncheva, who will be sharing the stage with Roberto Alagna, Vittorio Grigolo, Ludovic Tézier and the younger generation, Asmik Grigorian, Clémentine Margaine and Marina Viotti. Eight opera productions are expected, with new productions of Aida and Rigoletto. Some dates are already sold out, as you might imagine…
